During the evening session of the first day at IAAF World Junior Championships at Hayward Field, American sprinters finished atop their heats and women’s long jumpers were among the top-six advancing into the next round of their events. With the seven advancing from the morning session and six from the evening, a total of 13 Americans will appear in semifinals or finals on Wednesday.
