Alabama will be the host state for the 2017 National Senior Games. With that in mind, it could be a good strategy to compete there in a qualifier so you can get used to the weather, especially if you’re from a drier climate.
The Alabama Senior Olympics is open to out-of-state competitors.
Most Senior Olympics/Senior Games function in this way:
Competition is in 5 year age groups: 50-54, 55-59, etc… Age will be determined as of (day of competition).
Sole competitors in an age group will compete in the next lower age group. Awards are by age.
Age division of relay teams will be based on the age of the youngest team member as of (day of competition).
